Chicane @ Turn 1 Grandstand

Be at the forefront of the action at the Chicane @ Turn 1 Grandstand. and Strategically positioned on the drivers’ left, watch the F1 cars battle it out for prime overtaking position at Turn 1 after reaching top speeds of over 290km/h along the Pit Straight, before navigating the complex corners of Turns 2 and 3.

In 2023, Alpine’s Esteban Ocon lost power in lap 43 due to a suspected gearbox issue and stopped at Turn 2 despite an impressive drive, having climbed to sixth place from twelfth position. The issue triggered a virtual safety car, which led to a strategic double-stack by Mercedes, setting up a grandstand finish for the Silver Arrows.

In 2019, Toro Rosso's Daniil Kvyat and Alfa Romeo's Kimi Räikkönen collided at Turn 1 just 11 laps before the chequered flag was waved, resulting in the Finnish driver’s retirement and the deployment of the Safety Car.
