Singapore GP is looking for an experienced, meticulous and self-driven individual to join the Media & Communications department. You will be required to assist in publicity efforts, building and maintaining media relations as well as community engagement initiatives in the lead up to the Formula 1 Singapore Grand Prix.
With a proven ability to conceptualise and implement a strategic integrated communications plan, you must be able to work independently and as part of a team. You will be required to write press releases and feature releases, manage media interviews and queries, edit copy, and provide copywriting for promotional materials, thus a good command of English as well as strong writing capabilities is a must. Ability to speak and write in Mandarin would be an advantage.
You will also aid the team in community management as well as content creation for social media, thus you should also have a sound knowledge of social media platforms and tools. A creative thinker and a problem solver, it is also essential that you have excellent presentation and interpersonal skills as the role requires you to liaise with stakeholders, vendors and contractors.
As National Press Officer, you will supervise the set-up and running of the Media Centre, managing the team and third-party vendors to ensure smooth operations in accordance with the Federation Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA) guidelines. A detail-oriented, and well-organised individual, you will also be overseeing the media accreditation process for the Event, and work closely with multiple parties to ensure a smooth delivery of the Media Centre.
Key Requirements:
- Ability to work effectively as a team-player, as well as independently
- Excellent written, communication and presentation skills
- Knowledge of Formula 1 will be an advantage
- Ability to multi-task and accommodate ongoing on-ground changes
- Experienced in social media management and keeps current with social media trends
- Able to work over weekends and extended hours when required
Skill & Qualifications:
- Minimally a Diploma in Mass Communications, with at least 3 years of relevant work experience
- Knowledge of social media platforms, MailChimp, Canva and/or other editing software will be advantageous
